- Chandelure's outstanding Special Attack stat makes it an efficient wallbreaker on Ghost teams.
- Its Fire typing is very good offensively while granting it a handful of resistances toward several types such as Fairy, Grass, Ice, and Steel.
- Chandelure's ability in Flash Fire gives it immunity to Fire-type moves as well.
- With a Choice Scarf, Chandelure acts as one of the best revenge killers for Ghost teams.
- Unfortunately, while Chandelure's typing brings it good resistances, it's also weak to types such as Ground and Water while being another helpless teammate against Dark-types.
- Additionally, Chandelure is weak to Stealth Rock, limiting its opportunities to switch in freely.
- Chandelure lacks bulk and can't take multiple hits.
