Tropius

Tropius attempts to stall opposing Pokemon with Substitute and Leech Seed. However, Tropius faces a lot of competition from Tangela as a defensive Grass-type, as Tangela is much more bulky thanks to Eviolite, gets more reliable recovery in Regenerator, and possesses a nice matchup against physically offensive Pokemon in the tier such as Stoutland and Lycanroc. Tropius struggles against the latter especially due to its Grass / Flying typing, which gives it a Stealth Rock weakness which heavily reduces its longevity. Low Speed hinders Tropius as well and makes even harder to set up Substitute since offensive Pokemon like Lycanroc and Aurorus are able to outspeed it and force it out.
