Strategy Overview

Duskull's great Defense and Special Defense coupled with a rather good utility movepool make it look like a considerable utility Pokemon. In actuality, the rest of its stats are very poor, having a limited offensive movepool and no access to recovery. Firstly, Duskull's Ghost typing leaves it weak to the common Knock Off and doesn't give it useful resistances, since almost every Fighting-type carries the move. Duskull is also very passive, which allows setup sweepers that don't mind its moveset, such as Clamperl and Omanyte, to set up on it. As a wall, Duskull is outclassed by the likes of Ferroseed and Mudbray due to its typing and passivity but also because it does nothing useful while walling, whereas Ferroseed can set entry hazards and use Knock Off and Mudbray is hard to switch into. Duskull's lack of reliable recovery hinders its ability to wall as well.
