Breloom

Mushroom Pokémon

GrassFighting

BRELOOM closes in on its foe with light and sprightly footwork, then throws punches with its stretchy arms. This POKéMON’s fighting technique puts boxers to shame.

Strategy Overview

  • Breloom's viability has sharply decreased since VGC 2015.

  • Electric and Misty Terrain both block Spore, and Breloom is arguably outclassed by Tapu Bulu and Kartana as a Grass-type physical attacker.

  • Technician is still a fantastic ability on Breloom, powering up many of its main attacking moves such as Bullet Seed, Mach Punch, and Rock Tomb.

  • Breloom still has a niche as the fastest Spore user outside of Smeargle, and the only Pokemon that can both put enemies to sleep and hit hard.

  • Breloom requires both Tailwind from its team and denial of opposing speed control to fully function.
