Togedemaru

Togedemaru stands out as one of the best Choice Scarf users in the tier thanks to its solid Speed tier, great offensive and defensive typing that allows it to check Pokemon such as Archeops and Whimsicott, ability to gain momentum through U-turn, and good abilities. Its unique defensive typing and access to recovery in Wish also makes Togedemaru a useful special wall for taking on certain difficult threats such as Ribombee and Vikavolt. However, despite its excellent set of resistances, its mediocre bulk and an unreliable recovery move limits Togedemaru's ability to directly switch into threats. Sitting at base 96 Speed, it is one of the fastest Choice Scarf users and can outspeed boosted setup sweepers like Modest Ludicolo and Silvally-Fairy. However, Togedemaru fails to OHKO many of these Pokemon due to its only average Attack stat and coverage options. Togedemaru faces strong competition as a specially defensive Steel-type from Aggron and Galarian Stunfisk, who can set up Stealth Rock, and as a Wish passer from Audino due to its much higher HP stat.
