Strategy Overview

Shell Smash Omastar is one of the most fearsome sweepers in the tier. If it's able to boost, its insanely powerful Meteor Beam and higher Speed than Choice Scarf Rotom-C, NU's most common revenge killer, make it quite difficult to manage. Unfortunately, Omastar's defensive typing and special bulk leave it few chances to safely boost, and its reliance on Meteor Beam against bulky Water-types means it can often struggle to break beat defensive teams; after its first use, Meteor Beam can be exploited by Protect or switching. +2 Omastar is still slower than admittedly niche Choice Scarf users like Tauros and Heliolisk.
