Pheromosa

Pheromosa is a glass cannon in the 1v1 metagame. One of its main assets is its Speed tier, which lets it naturally outspeed most unboosted Pokemon like Zeraora and Mega Lopunny and even some Choice Scarf Pokemon like Modest Porygon-Z and Modest Tapu Lele. Furthermore, its high Attack and Special Attack coupled with its good movepool let it beat many top-tier Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Zygarde-C, and Jumpluff. Pheromosa's ability to run either physical or special sets, unlike most other Fighting-types, makes it an unpredictable foe in battle; this fact can be used to gain an advantage in Team Preview against Pokemon like Zygarde and Nihilego, since special Pheromosa counters Zygarde, and physical sets take on Nihilego. However, Pheromosa's pitiful bulk makes it vulnerable to hits from any Pokemon it cannot immediately KO, so it finds itself unable to have a positive matchup against bulky Pokemon like Gyarados, Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Magearna. This severely affects its usage and leaves it outclassed by other Fighting- and Bug-type Pokemon like Kommo-o, Mega Lopunny, and Volcarona.
