Donphan's good Attack and Defense stats make it a nice bulky attacker as well as decent physical tank. It also has access to the coveted Rapid Spin, which makes it the only Rapid Spin user in the tier immune to Electric-type attacks. Its typing gives it a nice Electric-type immunity as well as resistances to Poison and Rock but weaknesses to Ice, Water, and Grass, which are common attacking types.
