Cinccino

Scarf Pokémon

Normal

Its body secretes oil that this Pokémon spreads over its nest as a coating to protect it from dust. Cinccino won’t tolerate even a speck of the stuff.

Strategy Overview

Cinccino's high Speed and a colorful offensive movepool, with good utility options in Knock Off and U-turn make it a decent revenge killer and offensive pivot. It can outpace most of the unboosted metagame, including Lycanroc and Galvantula, and pick off most offensive threats after they get somewhat weakened. Cincinno can be rather annoying to switch into as well, as Bullet Seed threatens Gigalith and common physically defensive Ground- and Water- types, and a lot of Cincinno's checks such as Ferroseed and Doublade don't appreciate losing their item. It is particularly strong against hyper offense teams, which typically lack any reliable defensive counterplay. However, Cinccino's damage output is often disappointing. Without a damage-boosting item, it fails to OHKO most threats, and it cannot break through many common Pokemon such as Regirock and most of the tier's Steel-types, for example Aggron and Togedemaru. In terms of defensive utility, Cincinno doesn't offer anything whatsoever. A poor defensive typing along with low stats mean that it's almost entirely dependent on free switches.
