Victini's good Speed and amazing STAB move in V-create turn it into one of the most fearsome Choice Scarf users in the Monotype metagame. To increase Victini's offensive presence, it has access to fantastic coverage moves in Bolt Strike, Glaciate, and Energy Ball and a move to pivot with in U-turn. Defensively, Victini's decent bulk due to its all-around base 100 stats makes it one of the few bulky offensive Pokemon Fire teams have access to. This is only supported by its rare Psychic typing, which lets it switch into Fighting-type attacks from the likes of Mega Gallade and Breloom. However, since V-create lowers Victini's defensive stats and Speed, it is left vulnerable to revenge killers. Victini still suffers from the dreadful weakness to Stealth Rock, which hinders it from effectively pivoting with U-turn and switching in and out due to the stat drops from V-create. Victini is also weak to common moves like Scald, Knock Off, and Sucker Punch. Lastly, Victini's Speed stat puts it in the populated base 100 Speed tier, which creates Speed ties against other Choice Scarf base 100 Speed Pokemon such as Jirachi.
