Strategy Overview
Swampert makes its first major appearance in Battle Spot Doubles with two unusual roles: an anti-metagame Pokemon and great Mega Evolution for rain-based teams. Swampert does its jobs very well, being a great Mega Evolution under rain thanks to Swift Swim and amazing base stats; however, it has a crippling 4x weakness to Grass, a fairly common type in the metagame. If your team is not reliant on rain, consider running other Mega Evolutions, as they have more to offer than Mega Swampert.
