Strategy Overview

Seaking stands out as a notable counter to Electric-types and check to Water-types thanks to its combination of pure Water typing and Lightning Rod. It also has an interesting offensive movepool with plenty of good options backed up by decent Attack. However, it's held back by very mediocre Speed and mediocre Defense, which leave it easily checked by many strong attackers such as Stoutland. Its reliance on typing rather than bulk to beat foes means that it can easily be chipped away at, especially with its lack of reliable recovery. Seaking also faces extreme competition from Chinchou, which has much more longevity when it comes to checking Rotom-F. However, Seaking still shines as one of the best switch-ins to Rotom-F, and Electric-types in general, in the tier.
