Strategy Overview
Moltres is a fearsome bird with high offensive prowess. Its high-powered STAB moves are backed by a great base 125 Special Attack. It has enough Speed to outpace most defensive Pokemon, while its bulk and typing give it the opportunity to take a few hits. This typing also gives it a 4x weakness to Stealth Rock, though, meaning Moltres needs much more support than most offensive threats. However, this support can pay off; Moltres is one of the hardest Pokemon to switch into. Access to Roost also means that even Stealth Rock cannot completely neutralize Moltres.
