Genesect

Genesect is an effective momentum gainer and revenge killer in the Ubers metagame. This is because, when coupled with Download, Genesect's U-turn hits extremely hard, allowing it to keep offensive pressure up and gain momentum at the same time. Download also gives most of Genesect's moves more of an edge. Genesect is also useful for its ability to revenge kill both Latios and Latias with relative ease, which is almost invaluable for offensive teams. Latios and Latias's popularity also harms Genesect in a way, as the ease of Defog support weakens one of its niches as a solid team member on Sticky Web archetypes. Genesect has severe problems with Primal Groudon and Ho-Oh, two very prevalent Pokemon in the metagame, hindering its effectiveness. Furthermore, the slow, bulky metagame means that Genesect has a somewhat harder time denting threats with U-turn, but the decrease in Choice Scarf users gives Genesect a more defined niche as a revenge killer.
