Bellossom is totally outclassed in any possible role by the plethora of better Grass-types in the metagame, including Roselia, Tangela, and Gourgeist. It can attempt to be played as some sort of sun sweeper but is worse than Weepinbell in this regard. Its poor coverage and barely average Special Attack make it difficult for Bellossom to sweep, and, even under sun, Bellossom is still slower than common Choice Scarf users such as Sawsbuck, making it easy to revenge kill.
