Amoonguss

Amoonguss is used for redirection and the useful sleep-inducing Spore. Thanks to its useful resistances to Fighting, Fairy, Electric, and Water, it can redirect key attacks, and its low Speed makes it a good check to Trick Room. It suffers from being a Grass-type in a metagame where Mega Salamence, Mega Charizard Y, and Talonflame exist, along with easily accessible checks such as Taunt and Safety Goggles nullifying its key moves, but Amoonguss still manages to perform well in spite of these factors, which goes to show how useful a guaranteed sleep-inducing move and redirection are.
