Strategy Overview

Although Woobat has a niche in its unique ability Simple, allowing it to double the boosts from Calm Mind and quickly make Stored Power threatening, it has several gaping flaws; in particular, it has a mediocre typing, lacking bulk, and a weakness to the plethora of viable Dark-types in the tier, such as Pawniard, Vullaby, and Alolan Grimer. Additionally, Woobat's reliance on setting up Calm Mind to pose an offensive threat means it is often outclassed by more consistent Psychic-type sweepers such as Abra.
