Strategy Overview
Regirock has many attributes that make it a solid choice as a Stealth Rock user in the NU tier. In particular, it is a great check to Fire-types such as Delphox and Incineroar, Flying-types such as Aerodactyl and Braviary, and other attackers like Sneasel and Mega Glalie. However, Regirock's pure Rock typing makes it vulnerable to several common attacking types, including Water, Ground, Fighting, and Grass, and prevents it from checking Electric-types as well as its fellow Stealth Rock setters in the tier thanks to its inability to block Volt Switch. Regirock also lacks any form of recovery outside of Leftovers and as such is prone to being chipped down over time, even by resisted attacks. Finally, Regirock can be a bit passive at points and often has to rely on Toxic to even touch Pokemon that hit it super effectively such as Dhelmise, Palossand, and Passimian.
