Despite having a good offensive movepool and a powerful Scrappy Boomburst, Exploud is outclassed by Swellow. Swellow has fantastic speed and outspeeds Salazzle and Virizion notably, immunity to Ground moves, and U-turn to provide its team with momentum. Exploud is very slow, has no defensive utility whatsoever, and is more vulnerable to being revenge killed.
