Electivire

Electivire is one of the premier Choice Scarf users thanks to its above-average Speed tier, ability to pivot, and capability to revenge kill top threats such as Swanna and Simisear. Furthermore, great coverage options enable Electivire to run a potent mixed wallbreaker set with Expert Belt that can threaten typical switch-ins such as Golem and Lickilicky. As a result, Electivire is arguably the best Electric-type in the tier due to its offensive capabilities, and it especially thrives in a Water-type-centric metagame. Conversely, in a metagame where Electric-type attacks are ubiquitous, Motor Drive allows Electivire to provide an Electric-type immunity. However, while Electivire is a strong physical attacker, it is often forced to rely on its lower Special Attack to break through physical walls such as Gourgeist-XL. Consequently, Choice Scarf Electivire fails to bust through bulkier Pokemon such as Bronzor. Lastly, Electivire lacks defensive utility outside of Motor Drive and moderate special bulk, which leaves it susceptible to fast physical attackers such as Floatzel and Rapidash.
