Strategy Overview
Bronzor is able to check a wide array of threats in the metagame, including Golem, Chatot, and Muk, thanks to its great defensive typing, Levitate, and Eviolite-boosted bulk. It can use its ability to switch into many prominent threats to reliably set Stealth Rock, and being able to beat common Defoggers such as Altaria and Swanna makes it more consistent than other setters. However, Bronzor's solid typing does have exploitable weaknesses to Fire- and Dark-type moves. Bronzor has almost no room for variation, making it extremely predictable. It is extremely passive and slow, making it setup fodder for threatening sweepers such as Pinsir, and its weaknesses render it easily trapped by Pokemon like Silvally-Dark and Probopass. This passivity alongside its low Speed also makes it extremely susceptible to Taunt. Furthermore, its lack of recovery outside of Rest and susceptibility to Knock Off limit its defensive capabilities.
