Tangela

Tangela is coveted for two rare defensive qualities: high, Eviolite-boosted physical bulk and the ability Regenerator. These traits make it one of the best counters to Silvally-Ground, unfazed even after Swords Dance boosts, and a sponge against attacks from Copperajah, Tauros, and Golurk. With Knock Off and Sleep Powder, Tangela has enough disruptive utility to break down walls and prevent threats like Salazzle and Toxicroak from freely switching into it. These special attackers and more, however, easily force out Tangela once in, as its mediocre special bulk means even neutral special attacks are an issue. Tangela's walling capabilities are also often contingent on it retaining Eviolite, which is tough in the long term given some of the Pokemon it's meant to check, like Passimian, Tsareena, and Rotom-C, may cripple it with Knock Off and Trick.
