Heliolisk

Heliolisk is a prominent special attacker because of its great Special Attack and Speed and useful immunities to Water and Ghost, which let it take on common Water-types like Vaporeon, Mantine, Starmie, and Inteleon and pivot into Choice-locked Ghost-types like Golurk and Decidueye. Heliolisk can also run multiple sets, like Choice Specs to break through Electric-resistant Pokemon like Alolan Exeggutor and Guzzlord and Choice Scarf to outspeed Salazzle, Talonflame, and Choice Scarf Passimian. Its coverage from Hyper Voice, Surf, and Grass Knot also gives many ways to target checks like Mudsdale, Gastrodon, and Decidueye. However, its poor defenses can leave it revenge killed by physical attackers and priority users like Passimian, Toxicroak, and Absol, and other fast Pokemon like Choice Scarf Rotom-C, Tauros, and Salazzle can outspeed it if it does not run Choice Scarf. Furthermore, Heliolisk faces competition with Rotom-C as an Electric-type because of its ability to check Ground-types with STAB Leaf Storm and Levitate.
