Strategy Overview
This prehistoric fish wreaks havoc as a powerful attacker on sand teams! Its access to Fishious Rend allows it to heavily damage most of the tier as long as it's moving first, which Sand Rush makes significantly easier, allowing it to outspeed the entire tier under sand. Dracovish also has a decent defensive typing for an attacker of its caliber, able to switch in on attackers like Heatran and Metagross and survive a hit. However, Dracovish struggles to break past common Pokemon that resist Fishious Rend, mainly Rillaboom, which 2HKOes it while weakening Fishious Rend with priority Grassy Glide, and Tapu Fini and Kyurem-B, both which threaten to OHKO or 2HKO Dracovish after minimal chip damage. Volcanion can ignore Dracovish locked into Fishious Rend entirely with Water Absorb, either attempting to burn Dracovish or attacking its partner. In addition, Dracovish heavily relies on sand to maintain a strong offensive presence, as its damage is utterly mediocre if it's outsped, which also means opposing speed control like Tailwind or Trick Room is bad for it. Its Attack is also low, making all non-Fishious Rend attacks relatively weak. Tyranitar is a near mandatory partner due to it not only setting sand, but also easily beating Kyurem-B. Incineroar and Rillaboom handle opposing Rillaboom and Tapu Fini, respectively, and Incineroar is yet another Kyurem-B check.
