In a tier lacking consistent entry hazard removal, Quilladin makes for a great Spikes setter and wall with access to utility moves such as Roar and Super Fang, working well in teams relying on hazards to make progress. Thanks to its good bulk and its ability Bulletproof, Quilladin is able to check Grass- and Ground-types such as Ivysaur, Thwackey, Krokorok, and Gabite. It can also be used as a phazer when running Roar, taking immediate advantage of its own Spikes as well as preventing bulky setup users such as Scraggy and Duosion from making progress.
