Weavile is a menacing revenge killer on Ice teams because of its high Attack and Speed, outpacing threats like Zeraora, Spectrier, and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele thanks to Choice Scarf. Its Dark typing is great for pressuring Ghost- and Psychic-types like Gengar and Victini as well as providing a Psychic immunity to check Tapu Lele and Latias. Furthermore, it is Ice's main Knock Off user, crippling defensive Pokemon like Celesteela and Klefki. Weavile's biggest weakness is its poor defenses, often leaving it easily worn down by defensive Pokemon like Toxapex and Aegislash and revenge killed by priority users like Urshifu-R and Bisharp after chip. Its poor ability to dent walls often forces it out multiple times throughout the match.
