Regirock's incredible physical bulk, typing, and access to Stealth Rock make it a premier physical wall in the tier. It can check a multitude of threats, like Archeops, Sneasel, Togedemaru, and Centiskorch, giving it multiple opportunities to set Stealth Rock reliably. However, it struggles against common wallbreakers like Gallade and can get overwhelmed rather quickly due to its lack of reliable recovery. Lastly, it suffers from competition from Gigalith, which can switch into threats like Charizard more reliably thanks to Sand Stream giving it better special bulk.
