Strategy Overview

Pyukumuku is a decent option on stall teams to ward off common setup sweepers like Ribombee, Thievul, and Sandaconda. Pyukmuku's considerable defenses combined with Unaware can make it difficult to break through. Compared to its Unaware competition in Quagsire, Pyukumuku's typing has the pros of letting it better take Seed Bomb from Perrserker and take Shadow Ball from offensive Jellicent in a pinch. However, most of the time Quagsire still has the superior typing, and it also has more versatility with its moveslots. Also, Pykukumuku is completely shut down by Taunt, which is found on the tier staple Jellicent.
