Inteleon's incredible Speed tier and access to U-turn make it a good wallbreaker and pivot in NU, severely punishing teams that lack a sturdy Water-type check and preserving momentum against solid switch-ins like Vaporeon and Mantine. Additionally, its Speed leaves it with limited offensive counterplay and makes it a good revenge killer; it outpaces other fast foes like Salazzle, Tauros, and Starmie and can easily KO them with its attacks. Inteleon does face strong competition from other offensive Water-types, though. Starmie can break through its checks thanks to its superior coverage and Analytic, whereas Kingdra is capable of setting up on Vaporeon and Mantine.
