Strategy Overview
Dhelmise is one of NU's few viable spinners thanks to its solid all-around bulk, good matchup against common Stealth Rock setters, and reliable recovery in Synthesis. Dhelmise can easily take on foes like Diancie and Mudsdale thanks to its powerful STAB moves and spin their Stealth Rock away, and it's also able to answer common offensive threats such as Swords Dance Silvally-Ground and Aerodactyl. Sadly, Dhelmise is a bad check to Water-types despite being a Grass-type: it's weak to Mantine's Hurricane; is very vulnerable to being crippled by Vaporeon, Gastrodon, and Quagsire; and cannot check Starmie or Inteleon well because of their super effective coverage. It also cedes a lot of momentum against NU's plethora of common Dark-types like Guzzlord, Drapion, and Scrafty.
