Strategy Overview
Charizard's overall solid stats, great typing, and splendid movepool allow it to perform multiple roles effectively, such as special wallbreaker and physical sweeper. Its typing and decent bulk also give it a fair amount of defensive utility, allowing it to check threats like Ribombee. However, Charizard struggles to get past many metagame staples like Gigalith, particularly if it lacks Toxic, while its Speed tier leaves it unable to check threats like Sneasel.
