Thwackey

While there are better Grass-types in the tier such as Whimsicott and Trevenant, Thwackey primarily stands out with Grassy Surge, letting it support setup sweepers like Hitmonlee and making it a decent wallbreaker and revenge killer. It has limited coverage, but it can make up for that with Grassy Glide, raw strength behind its STAB Wood Hammer, and the utility of Knock Off and U-turn. However, the tier has a fair amount of Grass-resistant Pokemon that can outspeed and threaten Thwackey such as Charizard and Whimsicott. Thwackey also competes with other physical Grass-types like Gourgeist and Trevenant, which have better bulk, secondary STAB moves, more natural strength, and ability to block Rapid Spin.
