Strategy Overview

Although Persian is among the fastest Pokemon in the tier and boasts utility options in Knock Off and U-turn, it is heavily outclassed. Its bad typing combined with low offensive stats and bulk makes it easily checked by walls like Tangela and Cofagrigus, and it can be setup fodder for cleaners and wallbreakers like Klinklang and Qwilfish. It is outclassed by other revenge killers like Thwackey and especially Kangaskhan, with both having more reliable priority moves and the latter having Scrappy and Sucker Punch to check Choice Scarf Rotom rather than getting whittled down by it.
