Strategy Overview

Vullaby is one of the best Pokemon in LC thanks to its versatility. Vullaby's offensive typing allows it to hit every Pokemon in the metagame barring Pawniard for at least neutral damage, and it has powerful options such as Brave Bird, Knock Off, Air Slash, and Dark Pulse to utilize and customize. Vullaby's typing helps it defensively as well, giving it many useful resistances that make it easy to fit onto a team. Its terrific stats don't hurt either, giving Vullaby a mix of bulk and power that allows it to serve as a sweeper, a wallbreaker, and even a blanket check to much of the metagame. Vullaby's abilities also compound its usefulness. Weak Armor gives Vullaby the ability to to outspeed the entire unboosted (and much of the boosted) metagame after being hit by a physical attack, neutralizing its middling Speed and making it quite difficult to revenge kill. Alternatively, Vullaby can play more defensively with Overcoat, which gives it an immunity to Spore and does not lower its Defense.
