Strategy Overview
Tsareena carves an effective niche for itself thanks to its access to Queenly Majesty, U-turn, a powerful STAB attack, and a slew of other support-oriented attacks, but the narrow scope of all of these elements means that Tsareena only finds a place on very specific team compositions. Tsareena's entire modus operandi is to prevent its enemy from disrupting its partners; it can block Fake Out and other priority attacks with Queenly Majesty, give its partners safe switches with a relatively slow U-turn, eliminate Stealth Rock for its partners, or even pick up valuable KOs against some problematic Pokemon. Grass typing makes it a good partner to common Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and Volcarona while complementing rain teams with a resistance to Grass- and Electric-type attacks. Unfortunately, mono-Grass typing also means that Tsareena is weak to many types and only has one commonly resisted STAB attack. Common threats like Mega Charizard Y, Genesect, and Mega Salamence all fear nothing from Tsareena while threatening huge amounts of damage to it or its partner.
