It spaces out while gazing at the sea. With Shellder’s poison flowing through its body, it becomes even spacier.

Strategy Overview
- Mega Slowbro has amazing physical bulk combined with a nice typing that allows it to check threats such as Swords Dance Ultra Necrozma, Mega Lucario, Rayquaza, Mega Salamence, and some Arceus formes.
- Thanks to its pre-Mega ability Regenerator, Slowbro can act as a pivot before it Mega Evolves.
- After it Mega Evolves, Shell Armor prevents Slowbro from taking critical hits, which, combined with its access to Slack Off and Iron Defense, makes it easier to stall out physical attackers in the tier.
- It has a decent Special Attack stat, being able to OHKO Mega Salamence with an uninvested Ice Beam.
- However, Slowbro struggles against most of the metagame and requires too much to overcome its flaws, being only useful as a dedicated check to some threats, making it usually an inferior choice against other defensive Pokemon such as Toxapex, Celesteela, support Arceus formes, and Lugia.
- Slowbro has average special bulk and somewhat common weaknesses that leave it weak to most of the common special attackers in the tier such as Primal Kyogre, Yveltal, and Mega Gengar, which can easily trap Mega Slowbro.
- Even though Slowbro has a decent Special Attack stat, the lack of a boosting move or STAB move if not using Scald makes Slowbro passive and leaves it easily walled by most Steel-types in the tier and Primal Kyogre.
- Slowbro's low Speed makes it move after virtually any Pokemon in the tier.
