Mega Lopunny's high Attack and Speed stats allow it to outspeed and OHKO many Pokemon, such as Jumpluff, Mega Gardevoir, and Landorus-T, with strong moves such as Fake Out + STAB Giga Impact and High Jump Kick. It also has access to utility moves like Substitute and Encore that make use of its high Speed to break status move users such as Ferrothorn and Type: Null as well as coverage moves like Ice Punch to hit 4x weak Pokemon like Landorus and non-Protect Dragonite. Its ability in Scrappy allows it to hit Pokemon like Mega Sableye, non-Choice Scarf Blacephalon, and non-Flash Cannon Aegislash. However, while Mega Lopunny has great Speed and offensive power, its defensive qualities are lacking. Its poor bulk allows Choice Scarf Pokemon like Darmanitan, Porygon-Z, and Haxorus to simply outspeed and OHKO it. It also has no reliable way of boosting its stats, and its offensive moves lack in type coverage. It also faces competition from other Normal-types like Slaking, Ambipom, and Diggersby; Slaking has useful coverage like Ice Punch, Ambipom can hold Normalium Z to have a powerful Breakneck Blitz, and Diggersby has a Ground STAB with Earthquake.
