Glalie's access to Spikes and workable overall stats make it look like a decent choice, but this sadly isn't the case. It is hopelessly outclassed by other Spikes users; Qwilfish has a better typing, movepool, and ability, making its job easier. Glalie's merely average Speed leaves it outsped by numerous Pokemon, notably opposing Qwilfish, which can prevent Glalie from setting Spikes with Taunt.
