Strategy Overview
Despite being a strong physical Grass-type, Carnivine finds itself hopelessly outclassed by other Grass-types mostly due to its terrible Speed as well as its mediocre defenses, which make it troublesome to consistently wallbreak. There is little point in using Carnivine over other superior Grass-types like Victreebel, Abomasnow, Leafeon, and Shiftry, whose superior typings, stats, and coverage allow them to break through defensive cores with ease. Additionally, Grass-type checks are common in PU due to the high number of powerful Grass-types in the tier.
