Strategy Overview

Mega Camerupt's minuscule niche as a tank comes from its typing, which allows it to check Pokemon such as Salazzle, Raikou, and Registeel, and high firepower with Sheer Force. This, however, is immediately offset by its poor Speed, average bulk, and bad defensive typing. It also has issues breaking more specially defensive Pokemon such as Florges, Snorlax, and Milotic, and it is easily revenge killed by the likes of Rhyperior, Araquanid, and Tyrantrum. Mega Camerupt also has a lot of competition from Mega Blastoise and Mega Sceptile for a team's Mega spot because they provide more utility.
