Wo Chien

Wo-Chien's excellent bulk, typing, and great ability give it a unique place in NU, allowing it to consistently handle powerful wallbreakers such as Basculegion-M, Flygon, and Barraskewda. Additionally, it can exploit common walls like Vaporeon, Bronzong, and Galarian Slowbro. Furthermore, Wo-Chien can make some great progress thanks to its access to both Knock Off and Leech Seed. Unfortunately, Wo-Chien's typing also makes it weak to many common threats such as Flamigo, Munkidori, and Chandelure, while the Pokemon it was supposed to check like Flygon and Decidueye can threaten it by hitting back with U-turn. Wo-Chien struggles to do anything against certain walls like Amoonguss and Poison Heal Breloom due to them being immune to its Leech Seed and their access to recovery. Wo-Chien's lack of recovery can force it to use Protect or RestTalk, allowing Pokemon like Munkidori, Scrafty, and Raikou to freely set up or put some pressure on Wo-Chien with chip damage.
