Klefki can serve as a dual screen-setting lead with entry hazard support for Steel teams. However, Steel teams are usually balanced, and Klefki does not bring much defensive utility or longevity to be beneficial long term. It is mostly outclassed by Skarmory as a Spikes setter and Fighting-neutral Pokemon. Skarmory also provides a valuable Ground-immune and potential as a IronPress setup sweeper. On the other hand, Klefki's role compression with dual screens support can be valuable on more offensive teams.
