However, due to its incredibly passive nature and unreliable recovery in Rest, which is blocked by Miraidon's Hadron Engine and Taunt users like Landorus-T, Arceus, and Arceus-Ground, it is prone to being weakened throughout a game. Furthermore, Skeledirge, another common stall Pokemon, frequently competes with Dondozo for a team slot due to playing a similar role and having a means of reliable recovery in Slack Off.
