Chansey

Chansey is a premier special wall in the tier. Its massive HP stat, coupled with good Special Defense and Eviolite, allows Chansey to reliably shrug off almost any special attack from foes such as Basculegion-F, Choice Specs Hisuian Goodra, and non-Iron Defense Magnezone. It also has good utility, with access to an entry hazard option in Stealth Rock and Thunder Wave to cripple foes such as Empoleon, Gengar, and Noivern. Chansey is a staple in stall teams and decent in balance teams, as it fulfills the role of the special wall perfectly. Having access to Heal Bell and Healing Wish allows Chansey to further support its teammates by being a cleric and allowing a teammate to fully heal themselves, respectively. However, Chansey is extremely passive, as Seismic Toss is usually its only method of damaging the opponent, which can be countered by Ghost-types like Basculegion-F, Gengar, and Mimikyu, as well as give an easier time for setup sweepers such as Bisharp and Slowbro to set up. Moreover, due to its reliance on Eviolite, Chansey is prone to entry hazard stacking, making it susceptible to being worn down.
