Muk

Muk is a Pokemon that struggles to find itself a place in the NU metagame. Being a Poison-type with a low Defense stat leads to being outclassed by Garbodor and Weezing, both of which provide utility beyond their walling ability. Though Muk has higher Special Defense than the two, letting it more effectively wall the likes of Lilligant and Mega Audino, Skuntank is generally better at walling said threats due to its less exploitable typing and access to Pursuit. In addition to being outclassed defensively, Muk still faces competition from the multitude of other wallbreakers in the tier, all of which may either provide better team synergy or have better overall coverage. These factors combined make Muk very hard to justify using on a team.
