Drapion is a great revenge killer on Poison teams because of its decent Speed and crucial Psychic immunity. Its secondary Dark typing provides STAB moves to deal with threatening Psychic-types like Latios and Victini, and defensively, it leaves Drapion with only a Ground weakness. Pursuit allows Drapion to trap and revenge kill Psychic- and Ghost-types like Victini and Gengar, while quirky coverage moves in Rock Slide and Ice Fang allow Drapion to revenge kill faster threats to Poison teams like Volcarona and Landorus. Unfortunately, faster Choice Scarf users like Darmanitan and Terrakion can KO Drapion. Furthermore, a poor Attack stat makes it difficult for Drapion to pick up KOs on Pokemon like Mega Gallade and Mega Garchomp.
