Arcanine

Arcanine stands out as an offensive Fire-type with great coverage moves such as Crunch, Close Combat, Extreme Speed, and Wild Charge, allowing it to clean up solidly late-game. Arcanine also has a niche as a defensive Fire-type, as Intimidate drops the foe's Attack by one stage, making it a great switch-in to physical attacks. Having decent recovery in Morning Sun also helps its cause; however, Arcanine's huge weakness to Stealth Rock makes it hard to switch in multiple times once entry hazards are set up. Additionally, offensive sets face huge competition from Entei, which has access to the coveted Sacred Fire, as well as higher Attack and uninvested bulk.
