Purugly

Even if Purugly looks like a wise choice due to its decent Attack, nice Speed, great movepool, and good ability, it faces heavy competition from other stronger Normal-types, especially from Kangaskhan, which also has access to Fake Out and Sucker Punch, but also from Stoutland and Dodrio, which are substantially stronger. Purugly also suffers from pitiful bulk, leaving it susceptible to faster threats like Alolan Persian and priority users like Gurdurr. It sadly fails to dent bulkier Pokemon such as Jellicent and Alolan Sandslash due to its underwhelming firepower. It doesn't help that Purugly can't do much to Rock-types like Regirock and Aggron, unlike its competition.
