Strategy Overview

Grumpig could seem viable at first glance seeing as it has Thick Fat, a good Special Defense stat, and a decent enough movepool but falls flat in practice due to not being able hit hard, having no recovery, and being weak to physical attacks. Outside of Thick Fat, Grumpig is completely outclassed by other Psychic types such as Beheeyem, which has way better offensive stats, and Musharna, which has good defensive stats and reliable recovery. Grumpig is also very weak to Pursuit, which stops it from running any defensive moveset.
