With access to U-turn to maintain momentum, Clauncher finds a very small niche in the metagame. Despite having the ability Mega Launcher, it doesn't have many moves that can capitalize on it and its very average base stats prevent it from achieving any significant damage output. Staryu, Chinchou, or Carvanha are better options if you need an offensive Water-type on your team.
